Day 3

A night of heavy rain hasn’t dampened the spirits and the festival goers have arrived, in their tens of thousands. A trip out to the perimeter of the festival offers the incredible view across the site. Tents are filling the fields as far as the eye can see and every in-gate is jammed with people slowly making their way in. On the FairTunes front we’ve had some unfortunate news from our headlining act Papaya Republic – they’re stuck in Germany and it looks likely they cannot get visas to get into the UK. We’ve got some reserve bands ready in case they can’t make it. The Common has had to delay its opening this afternoon along with the other fields in the Night time area, because of the delays caused by the weather, but everything is set for a rousing opening day tomorrow.
